ParentSquare

ParentSquare is the primary tool CCA teachers and staff use to communicate with parents about what is happening in the classroom: class newsletters, photos, field trip sign-ups, and more. It is critically important for parents to register an account to stay up to date on important information and events.

  • Update Your Information in Infinite Campus: Your contact information in ParentSquare comes directly from Infinite Campus (IC), so you only have to keep it updated in one place. TIP: If your information in IC is not correct, you will miss communications from the school. It takes 24 hours for you information to update in ParentSquare once you change it in IC. Access info on how to access IC at https://atlantaclassical.org/infinite-campus/.

    Activate Your Account: Click the link in your activation email/text, or sign up on parentsquare.com or via the ParentSquare app.
    TIP: If you have not received an invitation, first check your contact information in Infinite Campus. If it is not correct, contact Mrs. Polly Miller, pmiller@cherokeeclassicalacademy.org.

    Download App: It’s easy to stay in the loop with the ParentSquare app. Download it now for iOS or Android devices.

    Set Preferences: Click your name in the top right to set your notification to either Instant or Digest and language preferences. TIP: If you opt in to “Instant” notifications, you will receive messages in real-time which could be multiple messages in one day. If you prefer fewer notifications throughout the day, we recommend you select “Digest,” which will roll all notifications into one email at the end of the day. 

    Opt-in to the ParentSquare Directory: If you would like other parents to be able to contact you, please unhide your email and/or phone number on the website. (You cannot update this setting in the app.)

    • Open your ParentSquare profile by clicking on your name in the directory, or click your name in the top right corner and select My Account.

    • To show your email or phone number, click hidden and the status will change to visible. To hide your email or phone number, click visible and the status will change to hidden.

  • Becoming an engaged user will help you help your student thrive! School personnel will use ParentSquare to communicate about assignments, standardized testing, field trips, volunteer opportunities, and more. Below are some ways to join the conversation.

    Participate: Click ‘Sign Ups & RSVPs’ in the sidebar to see available opportunities. Click the bell on top to check your commitments.

    TIP: You click on ‘Sign Ups & RSVPs’ at the TOP of the message.

    Get in Touch: Click ‘Messages’ in the sidebar to privately get in touch with staff and teachers. To send a message to a teacher or staff member, 

    1. Click New Message to start your message.  

    2. Enter Recipients by typing the first few letters of the staff member's name

      OR, use Quick Select Recipients to select your child's teacher from a list.

    3. Type your message and click Send.

    Appreciate Posts: Click ‘Appreciate’ in your email/app or website to thank a teacher or staff member for a post.

    Send a Comment to the Sender: Send a comment or question to the sender of your message.
    TIP: ACA has opted to make comments viewable ONLY to the sender of the message, so other parents cannot respond to your comments.

    Get Photos & Files: Click ‘Photos & Files’ in sidebar to access pictures, forms, and documents that have been shared with you.

  • Get Familiar with the Parent Dashboard:

    • Children: In the upper left, see a quick view of your children, with grade level and school. Click on a student’s name to see their classes and student id.

    • Posts: From Home, select Posts in the left sidebar. Here you can view all the posts that pertain to your student(s). 

    • Messages: From Home, select Messages in the left sidebar. Here you can view any messages from teachers or staff.  

    • Find People: Click ‘Directory’ in the sidebar to find contact information for school staff.

    Sync Your Calendar: 

    1. Tap the triple bar menu in the upper left corner, select Account in the left column and Preferences in the middle. 

    2. Turn on Automatically add events to your calendar. If it is your first time enabling your ParentSquare calendar, you will be asked to allow access to your calendar; click OK.

    3. On your phone, Go to Settings > Privacy > Calendars > slide button to On for ParentSquare. More info can be found HERE
